Sam Hong, PhD recently graduated from the Chemistry Biology Interface program at Johns Hopkins University in 2016 and worked in the Pharmacology and Molecular Sciences Department at Johns Hopkins for his thesis. Since graduating, Sam joined Rapafusyn Pharmaceuticals, a pharmaceutical startup, to commercialize his thesis project. While at Hopkins, Sam was a co-president of the Hopkins Graduate Student Consulting Club (JHGCC) and the inaugural president for Pro Bono Consulting. Prior to joining Hopkins, Sam was a Postbaccalaureate fellow at the National Cancer Institute at Frederick.



Geoffrey Lynn, PhD is co-founder and CEO of Avidea Technologies, a Hopkins-based start-up that is developing immunotherapies for cancer treatment and infectious disease prevention. Under Geoffrey’s leadership, Avidea has raised over $1M in financing and secured business development partnerships with major Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology companies that are helping to propel Avidea’s development of a personalized cancer vaccine for the treatment of advanced epithelial cancers. Prior to joining Avidea, Geoffrey pursued joint MD-PhD training between Johns Hopkins and the NIH’s Oxford-Cambridge Program. Geoffrey earned his B.S. in chemistry from Elon University and a D.Phil. in Biomedical Engineering from Oxford University.
